About Don Vodka

I write stories where science fiction, horror, and the paranormal collide — strange worlds, dangerous situations, impossible choices, and characters who rarely have easy lives.

My Story...

I read on someone’s post that authors should share interesting facts about themselves to their readers. At first, I thought… why? Then it dawned on me. Oh, to prevent stalkers. That’s when it all made sense. So, here I go. Here are a few things you may not know about me. Life-changing? Probably not. Mildly concerning? Maybe.

  1. Don is short for my full name. Some secrets should stay buried.
  2. I can do tricks on my dirt bike
  3. I can juggle
  4. I know how to surf a little
  5. I write songs
  6. I love anchovies on my pizza
  7. I hate pineapple on my pizza
  8. My sci-fi books are funny and romantic
  9. My sci-fi books are scary and gory
  10. Dazzle and Misty are NOT vampires. They are something far worse.

What I'm working on...

I’m currently working on my newest series: THE ALIEN BLOODLINE.

It begins as BAT’s seventh book and starts with horror and sci-fi, but things begin to shift into stranger territory. As the story unfolds, paranormal elements and romantic undertones start creeping in — because my books rarely stay in one lane for long.

I like blending dark moments with sarcasm, chaos, mystery, and characters who probably should not be left unsupervised.

We’ll see what survives.

Writers I Read, Follow, or Blame for Everything

Winter McKnight

She’s my best friend, and she lives in Canada. Her three books (so far) are PIECES OF CHARLIE, THE GIRL THE SPY AND THE WOLF, and HALF OF ME LOVES ALL OF YOU. Of course, they are all rom-coms.

Sterling 'Silver' Cartwright

He wrote a book about my early life titled FOR THE TAKING, and although it is fictionalized it still paints a pretty grim picture of what went on. And the best part is that it’s a fun book to read.

Penn Stockwell

He’s a newcomer to Books Under The Stairs, and I’m not sure the name of his book. I think it’s about a serial killer. Sounds kind of fun. Not!
