I write novels in the New Adult sci-fi genre. I don’t want to call them Young Adult, because there is some bad language in the books (mainly common swear words like f*** and s***). Not a ton of bad words, but just enough to offer up this warning. Plus there is violence (aliens eating people), drinking (a few shots here and there), discussions about sex (nothing too graphic, and absolutely no actual sex).
Anyway, there may be bad language on this page. So proceed using caution.
Okay, I write mostly alone, but I have a mentor up in frozen Canada. We’re related, by our DNA. His name is also Don… I was named after him. He mostly edits, steering me clear when I cross ‘the line’. Haha. He also does the book formatting and covers and all that boring stuff about publishing on Amazon and Draft2Digital.
In case you can’t tell, I’m young, but when I go up to Canada I’m legal, and can go in the bars. So I go up to Canada a lot. Apparently they have nice scenery in Canada, but I can’t really say for sure. I hardly get out of the bars.
